KMEC – A Purvis Industries Company
Since 2017, Purvis Industries has enhanced its bulk material handling solutions through the acquisition of KMEC, expanding our design, engineering, and assembly offerings for complex bulk material handling systems.
KMEC begins the process in Houston, TX, where our licensed structural and civil engineers design conveyor systems based on your project specifications. We collaborate with you to address design challenges such as terrain obstacles and system complexity. Our team designs solutions for projects of various scales, including systems with multiple inclines or transfer points. For example, we designed and fabricated the conveyor sections for a 12-mile-long conveyor system with 11 horizontal curves. These components can be installed by an installer of your choice.

In addition to conveyor design, we offer options for incorporating standard add-ons such as walkways, covers, safety guards, and conduits into the overall design. Our focus is on delivering detailed plans that meet your project specifications and help reduce installation times.
KMEC assembles a variety of bulk material handling systems in our shop, including overland conveyors, floating conveyors, and ship or barge loading/unloading systems. We also design and assemble radial stackers and TeleStackers. Standard equipment such as belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, and bucket elevators are also part of our offerings.
Our extensive experience allows us to design and engineer some of the largest and most complex bulk material handling systems in the country. While KMEC does not manufacture individual components, our comprehensive design and assembly expertise ensures that we deliver high-quality, reliable systems. The warranties for the components we assemble are provided by their respective manufacturers.
