DESCRIPTION
Lock Nuts (also referred to as shaft or withdrawl nuts) are used to locate bearings and other components onto a shaft; as well as to facilitate mounting bearings and dismounting bearings from withdrawl sleeves. These KM series Lock Nuts utilize metric threads and have four slots located around their circumference to accomodate a spanner wrench. It is recommended they are used with the MB series Lock Washers to prevent unintensional loosening. Lock Nuts can be re-used provided they are not damaged and a new lock washer is used.
