Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The utility pick hammer has a blunt point for short reach. It is used for low spots in high-crown panels and other work with small clearance. Face, 1-9/16 in round point, 5/32 in radius. Length of pointed end, 2 in head, 4 in overall.
