Martin 161FG Dinging Hammer, Round Face, Alloy Steel Head, Fiberglass Handle
Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The dinging hammer is short-reach and lightweight with one low-crown, square face. It is the lightest dinging hammer in line. Faces, 1 ΒΌ” round and 1 3/16” square. Head, 4” overall.
