DESCRIPTION

Stainless UC series insert bearings are double-sealed deep-groove ball bearings made with corrosion resistant 440 Stainless steel and are appropriate for applications with moderate radial loads and light thrust or combination loads. They have a wide inner ring on both sides for increased shaft support and reduced inner-ring tilt for smooth operation. The bearing has a sphered outer surface that allows it to self-align within the housing & compensate for misalignments. It also has an anti-rotation pin in the outer surface that prevents the bearing from free spinning within the housing and ensures smooth performance. ~~ Stainless Steel-reinforced molded rubber lip seals with flingers on both sides of the bearing retain the high quality food grade lubricant and deflect contaminants away from the seals. The bearing locks onto the shaft with two cup point setscrews spaced 120 degrees apart for a three-point contact hold. The area around the set screw is specially annealed to prevent cracking when set screws are tightened. Set screw locking is suitable for low to moderate speed applications where the shaft rotates in a single or reversing direction. ~~ These insert bearings arrive fully lubricated with a certified Food Grade Grease and ready for use, but can also be re-lubricated with a compatible grease as needed. Their design includes a groove and oil hole in the outer ring to efficiently channel grease into the bearing during re-lubrication while in an appropriate housing. ~~ These Insert bearings are designed for use in pillow block or flange units made to AFBMA standards and can be used in housings produced by most manufacturers. Ball Bearing mounted units using these Stainless Steel inserts are suitable for use in industrial and commercial applications that are subject to frequent wash-down, damp environments or harsh contaminants, in applications such as poultry, pharmaceutical processing, fishing, and chemical manufacturing.
