DESCRIPTION
McKissick snatch blocks are used in a variety of lifting and pulling applications across many industries including construction, energy, towing, and marine environments. The many features of the 404 tail board snatch block make it a workhorse for rigging. Sheaves on the 404 McKissick snatch blocks are rated for dual wireline sizes and can be furnished with bronze bushings (with pressure lubrication for slow line speeds and more frequent use at greater loads) or roller bearings (for faster line speeds and more frequent use at greater loads). The opening feature permits easy insertion of the rope, and 3” through 12” blocks have an exclusive bolt-retaining spring to assure no lost bolts. Blocks are fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles at 1-1/2 times the Working Load Limit, and sizes 4-1/2” and larger are RFID EQUIPPED. 404 series snatch blocks meet or exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26 including identification, ductility, design factor, proof load and temperature requirements. Importantly, these blocks meet other critical performance requirements including fatigue life and material traceability, not addressed by ASME B30.26. Note that 404 tail board snatch blocks do not contain the spool that is required with the hook (418) and shackle (419) snatch blocks. Made in the USA.
