They represent solid companies that chose to merge their strengths with another independent bearing and power transmission distributor so that together, we could continue the valuable services that truly independent distributors provide our customers every day!



Bates Sales Logo


Bates Sales Company was founded in 1926 and grew to be the premier partner in bearing and power transmission for several industries, such as mining, aggregate, food and beverage, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and packaging. After Bates was acquired by Purvis in 2013, its 10 locations were fully re-branded as Purvis Industries. Those locations still offer the same outstanding product knowledge, support, and customer service that the original Bates Sales Company did for nearly 100 years.


Conveyor & Drive Engineering Logo


Conveyor and Drive Equipment Company was founded in 1978 and specialized in design, manufacturing, and service in bulk material handling conveyors. Conveyor and Drive Equipment was a single-source solution for screw conveyors, drag conveyors, and belt conveyors. 



Design Manufacturing & Equipment Company


Design Manufacturing and Equipment Company was a quick turnaround machining operation. Their long-tenured mechanists delivered quality, creative solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. Design Equipment was incorporated into our St. Louis, MO facility and still exists today as part of Purvis Industries.


Munroe Material Handling Logo


Munroe Material Handling was founded in 1944 and specialized in unit handling, packaging, and distribution. They are an integration partner of Hytrol Conveyor Company , one of the most respected and recognized brands in the material handling industry. Today, the company has been re-branded into American Package Handling Systems , and is still located in St. Louis, MO.


St Louis Vibrator


St. Louis Vibrator Products was founded in 1954 and specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial vibration equipment. The company designed, engineered, and fabricated vibrating tables and other industrial equipment. Their products were primarily used in refractory applications and aggregate installations. Today, the company is part of our Purvis Industries branch in St. Louis, MO.


C & L Gear and Machine

C & L Gear and Machine is a shop focusing on small lots, quick turnaround, quality gears. Their machinery could cut gears up to 16" in diameter, and they specialized in spur gears. Today C & L Gear and Machine’s capabilities are incorporated into St. Louis, MO branch of Purvis Industries.



Added to Purvis Industries in the mid-2000s, this business unit focused on custom shafting, odd materials, and hard-to-find shafting. It is now handled as part of our regular Purvis Bearing Service mechanical power transmission business unit.


A&W Bearings Logo



A&W Bearings had locations in Dallas, TX, Garland, TX, and Nacogdoches, TX.  It primarily served the bearing and power transmission markets in those cities before joining Purvis in 2016.


Bearing Belt Chain Logo


Bearing Belt Chain was headquartered in Las Vegas, NV. In 2009, they joined the Purvis family and brought our westernmost expansion with them. 


Belt Maintenance Group Logo

Belt Maintenance Group was located in Mount Pleasant, TX. They were a conveyor belt service, splice, and sales organization. In 2010, Purvis acquired them and made them a part of CapCorp. A branch opened in Mt. Pleasant to complement the service offerings.

Industrial Mining Supply Logo

IMS (which had locations in Phoenix, AZ, and Elko, NV) and her sister company, Sun Belt Supply, focused on supplying conveyor components, power transmission components, and conveyor belts to the hard rock mining industries of the West. Together, they joined Purvis in 2015, strengthening Purvis’s abilities to serve conveyor belt services in the Rocky Mountains. They exist today as our IMSCO business unit focused on hard rock mining in the Rocky Mountains.


Bearing Solutions, Inc.

Bearing Solutions, which had locations in Houston, TX, and Odessa, TX, joined Purvis Industries in 2011. The two stores, which were primarily focused on oilfields, were renamed National Petroleum Oilfield Products, but you can call them NPOP for short! NPOP, which maintains its Houston and Odessa locations, understands the demanding nature and time pressures of oilfield businesses.


Acadiana Bearing

Acadiana Bearing was located in Lafayette, LA, and served the Gulf Coast region in southwestern Louisiana. After being acquired by Purvis in 2015, they merged with the existing Lafayette branch.
